Weekly Update - March 15, 2026

Dear Friends,

Here is a brief update on the struggle for life here in the Rockford area:

1. The abortion facility on Maray Drive
The Rockford abortion facility located at 4236 Maray Drive is currently killing babies approximately two days each week, usually on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Most abortions are carried out using the abortion pill, but they also perform surgical abortions up to approximately 14–16 weeks. An abortionist is brought in from Wisconsin to perform these procedures. We are told they have been attempting to recruit a local doctor from Rockford to perform abortions, but as far as we know no Rockford physician has agreed to participate in this deadly business.

2. Good Friday Stations of the Cross
On Good Friday, April 3rd at 9:30 AM, we will pray the Traditional Stations of the Cross at the corner of Riverside and Mulford. Just as Christ suffered and died publicly for us, we will stand publicly in prayer and love for Jesus, for the unborn, and for mothers in need.

3. Save the Date – Rockford Walk for Life and Family
Please mark your calendar for the 6th Annual Rockford Walk for Life and Family, which will take place on Saturday, June 27th at Rockford City Hall. More details here.

4. Developments in Illinois
We are closely following the work of Illinois Right to Life as they monitor proposals from the Pritzker administration that could attempt to amend the Illinois Constitution to further entrench abortion and other harmful policies regarding children. If such measures move forward, the Rockford Family Initiative will organize public prayer rallies and peaceful protests to stand for life and the protection of children.

5. Please pray every day
Above all, please remember to pray each day for an end to abortion in Rockford. Prayer remains our most powerful weapon in this struggle.
