RPS and Abortion Meeting - UPDATE
We want to give you an important update regarding the supposed meeting between Rockford Public Schools (RPS 205) and the Winnebago County Citizens for Choice (WCCC). After making multiple calls directly to RPS 205, we received full assurance that no representative of the school district is attending the WCCC meeting in any official capacity.
The WCCC is claiming otherwise, but the truth is simple: this is not a partnership, not a district meeting, and not an official presentation. At most, a private individual who happens to work for or be connected with RPS 205 may attend on their own, but RPS 205 as a school system is absolutely not involved.
This means a few things:
The WCCC meeting is essentially meaningless. Its just a handful of abortion advocates listening to a rouge member of RPS 205 speak about how they hope to sexualize children.
We are cancelling our planned protest. We do not want to waste your valuable time and would rather encourage you to spend it with your family.
We are grateful for the quick, clear, and generous response from RPS 205 making it known they are not aligned with this group.
Finally, we want to sincerely thank you for your prayers, your calls to the school district, and your willingness to take a stand. Your efforts ensured that the truth came out quickly and publicly. This is a victory for truth, for families, and for our community.
