One Week Away - Join RVC Students for Life at the Walk for Life and Family!

We’re just one week away from the Fifth Annual Rockford Walk for Life and Family, and excitement is building! On Saturday, June 14 at 11:00 AM, we’ll gather at Rockford City Hall (425 E. State St.) to stand together as a peaceful and powerful witness for the dignity of every human life and the sacred institution of the family.

We’re thrilled to announce that the Students for Life group from Rock Valley College will be joining us this year! These young leaders are bringing energy, courage, and conviction to the walk, and we’re so encouraged by their presence. When asked why she’s attending, one student shared this heartfelt message:

"I think it's important to attend the Walk for Life to represent the unborn and be a unified voice advocating for the inherent value of children in the womb. By walking together, we have the opportunity to peacefully spread the pro-life message and encourage our city to take action on this issue by standing against abortion and protecting the lives of the most vulnerable humans."

What a beautiful expression of the spirit behind our walk. This generation is rising to defend life!

As a reminder, the event will begin with music from the St. Mary’s Choir, followed by a rally featuring keynote speaker Jill Stanek, a courageous pro-life nurse who exposed infanticide practices in Illinois and has since become a national advocate for the unborn.

We’ll also have tables from local pro-life organizations — including all four Rockford-area pregnancy centers — so be sure to arrive early and visit them! And don’t forget: youth ages 6–18 who bring a homemade pro-life sign can show it at the check-in table to receive a FREE pro-life t-shirt (while supplies last).

Together, let’s make abortion unthinkable in Rockford and beyond. We can’t wait to walk with you!
