Less than TWO Weeks Away! What to Expect at the 2025 Rockford Walk for Life and Family
We are less than TWO WEEKS away from the Fifth Annual Rockford Walk for Life and Family in downtown Rockford! Last year, over 400 people rallied and marched downtown in support of the life and the family. Here is what to expect this year!

City Hall – 425 E. State Street, Rockford

⏰ Time: Begins promptly at 11:00 AM
Arrival and Parking:
When you arrive, volunteers will be on hand to greet you and direct you to available parking (very close to the rally site). Look for signs and friendly faces to help guide you.
As You Walk Up:
You’ll be welcomed by the uplifting music of the St. Mary’s Choir, setting a joyful and reverent tone for the event.
Before the Rally Begins:
Be sure to check out the tables hosted by local pro-life organizations — including all four Rockford-area pregnancy centers! You’ll have the chance to pick up great materials, learn more about these life-affirming ministries, and meet the inspiring people leading them.
Also, we invite youth ages 6–18 to bring a homemade pro-life sign to carry during the Walk! Show your sign to a volunteer at the check-in table before the rally and receive a FREE pro-life T-shirt!
11:00 AM – Kickoff Rally at City Hall
Opening Prayer: Fr. John McNamara, Spiritual Director of the Diocese of Rockford Life & Family Evangelization Office
Keynote Speaker: Jill Stanek, Pro-Life Nurse and Activist
Jill Stanek is a courageous national voice for life. As a registered nurse, she uncovered and exposed horrific abortion practices in an Illinois hospital. Refusing to stay silent, Jill went public, risking her career and personal relationships to defend the most vulnerable. Since then, she has testified before Congress 14 times, her story helping advance landmark legislation including the Partial Birth Abortion Ban and Born Alive Infants Protection Act. Most recently, she worked on SBA Pro-Life America's Her PLAN initiative, supporting mothers and babies in the post-Roe era.
11:30 AM – Walk for Life and Family Begins
We will walk together through the streets of Rockford, peacefully and prayerfully witnessing to the dignity of every human life.
12:15 PM – Closing
