Illinois has become a critical battleground in the fight for life. Many pro-abortion ballot initiative are expected in 2026, these measures would devalue and destroy human life on a massive scale.  Illinois Right to Life and the Rockford Family Initiative will offer a free presentation so we can know and understand how we can prayerfully and effectively share the love of Christ and His Gospel of Life. 

These ballot initiatives attacking them most innocent among us are expected to:

1. Enshrine Abortion Through All Nine Months

• Adds broad, undefined abortion "rights" into the state constitution

• Removes gestational limits, allowing abortion up to birth if a provider deems it necessary for the woman’s “health” — a term that can include emotional, financial, or psychological well-being

2. Strip Away Key Protections

• Eliminates laws that protect preborn children at certain stages of development

• Can remove health and safety standards meant to protect women's health

3. Blocks Parental Involvement Laws

• Prevents lawmakers from reinstating parental notification or consent protections in the future

4. Limit Oversight of Abortion Facilities

• Restricts the state's ability to license, inspect, or regulate abortion facilities

• Weakens enforcement of safety standards that apply to other medical practices

5. Override or Prevent Future Pro-Life Laws

• Makes it nearly impossible to pass new pro-life legislation

• Overrides existing protections like waiting periods, informed consent laws, and fetal pain limits

If passed, an abortion ballot initiative would lock abortion extremism into Illinois’ constitution for years to come — allowing abortion at any stage and removing key safeguards. That’s why it’s critical that we stand together to oppose it.
